Ingredients
  • 1 large trout
  • Mud or clay
  • Newspaper
Directions

Start a camp fire.

Place newspaper on the ground and wrap the trout in the mud or clay. The mud or clay should be about 1.5 cm in thickness.

Dig a hollow in the coals, add the mud covered trout and return the hot coals.

Leave to cook for around 45 minutes.

Remove the trout and let cool until the mud dries and can be broken apart. The skin and scales of the trout will come away from the fish with the mud.

Remove the small lump inside the fish.

Serve while still hot.
