Ingredients
- 4 cups self raising flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 dessertspoon dripping
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 500g (1lb) currants

Directions Dissolve dripping in a pint of hot water.
Mix flour, nutmeg, currants and sugar together then
add the hot water and dripping. Add more water until you have a sloppy mixture, but not
runny.
When all mixed put into a cloth (like a christmas
pudding) and boil for 3 hours.
Serve with custard.
Tips
- Place a saucepan in the bottom of the pot to stop the pudding
from sticking to the bottom
- Make sure the water is boiling before you place the pudding
in.
