Witchetty Soup

  • 10 fresh witchetty grubs
  • 40 ml oil
  • dried onions
  • 1 litre stock
  • 2 chicken cubes
  • native peppercorns
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered milk, made fairly thick
  • some flour

Serves 2

Saute grubs in oil.

Add stock, crumbled chicken cubes, dried onions, peppercorns, and salt.

Cook for 1/2 hour, then add thickened milk.

Add a little water to flour to make a paste. Pour the paste into the soup to thicken it.
